EARTH SPEAKS is an environmentally focused field recording project, capturing natural sonic atmospheres as produced by the Earth itself. Eternal stasis through perpetual motion, this is a document of the supreme power of Mother Earth unparalleled.

This recording captures the sound of the quickly moving rapids of Crown Creek, a tributary to the Baptism River located in Superior National Forest in Northern Minnesota at an elevation of approximately 1,545 feet.

Upon close listening, one will discover many small events and variations, with a subtle shifting of detail woven through the powerful sound of ever rushing water.

"At Crown Creek" has been presented here as an aid for achieving states of relaxation and focus. We hope that you may receive benefit from incorporating these sounds into your own personal practice.
